Untangling The Web

The world has changed. The Internet is becoming a normal part of everyday life for a majority of people. With every new change in technology, comes the rise and fall of businesses as they try to adapt, from railroads to airplanes, from buggies to cars, from radio to TV, from vinyl records to CDs to MP3s.

Today is no different. It’s adapt or die.

Many people who own a small business know that they should “do something” about the Internet, that there is a huge opportunity out there somewhere, but they are not quite sure how to do it, much less do it efficiently, and if that they miss that opportunity, it might mean the end of their business.

The biggest issue that we heard from small business owners, and everyone else, for that matter, is that they don’t understand this stuff. No one has the time to find and distill all of the information. They do research and the technical information that they find is too complex, too difficult to understand. They are afraid and overwhelmed by it all. It’s frustrating.

We can do it for you. We’ve been learning about and working with the Internet and the web since 1994. We’ve been down all those roads. We know the technical issues and the marketing issues and the business issues. We’ve seen it from all sides.

Better yet, our primary skill set is the ability to explain these complex, technical concepts in easy to understand, simple language. We’re really good at communicating technology is ways that any one can understand. We can literally untangle the web of information for you.

We want to share that information with you, the small business owner. Our effort to train you and pass this knowledge along will be referred to here as “Untangling The Web”. Along with building web sites and doing SEO, we’ll be developing informational products and channels to teach the basics of how to market a small business online.

All of these efforts for Untangling The Web will be aimed at the beginner, the person who is quick to tell me “I don’t know anything about computers.” If you are looking for higher end, more technical information, there are other, better places. This is strictly for the new person who might know a little, but is more afraid and frustrated than anything else, the person who feels stupid asking a question, but still needs to know. We’re here to ease that frustration.

We set out to change the world and what better way to do that than to ease a little frustration. We like that.

Our primary channel right now is the blog. We’ll write about specific issues, techniques, and information that will help you right now. We’ll be writing some books, making some videos, and building some places to get easy to understand information.
